Florida has recently made a law called "Don't Say Gay"

The bill, which was signed into law by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday, prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade.

Kamala Harris called this law 'hateful' as this would "stigmatize" LGBTQ+ students and "make them feel unwelcome" in their schools.

Harris's comments come as the "Don't Say Gay" bill has been met with widespread criticism from LGBTQ+ advocates and civil rights groups.

The bill has also been challenged in court, and a judge has temporarily blocked its implementation as of now.
